With this release, volume 1 of Tabi and the Wayfarers is done! We're probably setting a record for slowest scanlations here, but hey, we might finish the series someday, maybe.
I apologize for not translating the Afterword. It's a lot of work and honestly not that interesting to read, but I couldn't just leave it out because the art that goes with it is so nice.

You thought we quit? You thought wrong. I was just taking a break, and that break's over, because Tabi and the Wayfarers chapter 5 is out! Continuing on our trend of slowly improving in quality with each release, this one maintains the higher scan quality from the previous chapter, but comes with what is probably our most accurate translation to date, thanks to the help of new friend Fastforward. (Finally, someone who's fluent in Japanese and willing to help!) It's still undecided whether we'll go back and revise our translations of chapters 1-4.
Additionally, I fixed some tiny problems to the site which became apparent after we moved servers.

We're back, or I should say, I'm back, because this chapter was a 100% solo project. In some ways this is for the better because it means the release doesn't get delayed waiting for other people, but in other ways it sucks because I'm not the most fluent in Japanese plus I have to do all the work, which takes quite a while. One great thing for this chapter (and subsequent ones, whenever they come out) - at Empathy's suggestion, I scanned them in much higher res this time, which ended up making the finished product look a lot cleaner (even though I resized them down to the same readable size).

So hey, it's been a ridiculously long time but we are totally back with a new chapter. And by we, I mean mostly me, because Allpurposechives, who was helping with typesetting, translation check, and a bunch of stuff, got nailed with this absurd punishment called "school". The time between last release and this one is how long it took him to admit he wasn't gonna be useful. Hey, anyway, this still isn't a totally solo project because I got some other pals to set their eyes on the comic too. I'm hoping that with their help, I'll be able to take the remaining 3 chapters in the first tankobon and get those out, too, maybe even this year. They're up to like 6 now, so we've got quite a ways to go! Actually, the series just ended this past month! I think that means it's gonna be 7 tankobon total.

After a longer than anticipated delay (two trips to Hawaii, a dead computer, some ridiculous cleaning issues, and a couple translation hiccups along the way) we have finally finished and are releasing Chapter 2 of Tabi and the Wayfarers. This chapter really starts to develop the story, so we hope you enjoy reading it. Stay tuned to our RSS feed for additional updates with the following chapters, hopefully with less delay in between!

Mizunashi Translations is glad to present its first-ever release, タビと道づれ (Tabi and the Wayfarers) chapter 1! This manga by TANAKANOKA runs in Mag Garden's Comic BLADE and is up to about 4 volumes in Japan. We here at Mizunashi took an interest in it because of a little cover slip that advertised how Kozue Amano (manga-ka of ARIA) likes the world TANAKANOKA has created for the series.
A note on the translation: we here at Mizunashi are not expert translators; in fact, we have some difficulty reading Japanese. But with some time, dedication, and help from friends who are, we think we've been able to produce a pretty adequate release. What's important is that right now this title is not available to English-speaking audiences at all, so if we can stir up even a little interest, then we've done our job. That's not to say we don't care about translation quality: if you think you know better and want to help us out, let us know.
